Very Precious Brightening Concentrate by L’Occitane

One of  L’Occitane’s latest anti-ageing product is this deliciously-scented face oil, made from the extracts of the Corsican Immortelle flower. Apply at night – when the skin is most receptive to active ingredients – for a smoother, more even complexion.

This night serum enhances the skin’s radiance and reduces the appearance of pigmentation marks. From the very first application of this dry oil, pigmentation marks start to fade; complexion is lighter and more even.

This is a wonderful product for someone who is looking to reduce the appearance of pigmentation marks or maybe your skin is looking a little dull and in need of an extra boost. It is also perfect for someone who is looking for a product which isn’t complicated and difficult to use – you can just ’slot’ this product in to your existing skincare regime.

Apply two drops in the evening, either alone or before your moisturiser, avoiding the eye area. The dropper applicator allows for very precise application of the Concentrate on the areas you wish to treat.

This is a dry oil, so it is not greasy. If you have an oily skin use this product and do not apply moisturiser on top - for drier and more mature skin, apply this first and then layer your moisturiser over the top. The product disappears into the skin and the fragrance is divine. Because you only need to use 2 drops, the bottle lasts a long time.

The results that I experienced were definitely an increase in radiance to my skin – it is so quick and easy to use. Because I have combination skin, I apply it all over my face at night and I then layer moisturiser over the top just on my eye and neck area. When I wake in the morning, my skin looks brighter and clearer and more refreshed.

The results: when I first read about this range – it was the first time I had used a ‘whitening’ product and I was slightly concerned that it could make my skin look too pale! However, my first experience was using the absolute pearl mask -  this mask is clear, so unlike other masks I have used, you can still see your skin whilst the product is working. The mask goes on for 10 minutes and after 4 minutes, I went to the mirror to see how it was looking and I couldn’t believe how amazing my skin looked – it was already brighter, clearer, more even – I have never seen such amazing results in such a short amount of time. Even my husband commented on how amazing my skin was looking after I had removed the mask!

This is one skincare kit that I couldn’t wait to try, it probably had something to do with the fact that on the box it reads ‘facelift without surgery’ –  I rushed to my bathroom to unpack the kit and applied the product to my skin as quickly as possible!

I have some ladies who like a quick fix five minute mask which comes directly out of one tube. To obtain younger looking skin, the Cosmetic Lift is to be used over six month period with an initial ten day phase – applied once on day one, again on day five then again on day ten.  Then it is recommended to continue with only one application per month to maintain the appearance. 

You have to leave the mask on for 30 minutes – the first time I used this product, I read the instructions and applied the product as recommended (you apply it with a brush in various directions on each part of the face) – and even as I was applying this product, you can feel it start to tighten and lift the skin. It was definitely one of the quickest results of a lifting mask that I have tried so far and it feels like a ’serious’ treatment. The formula dries to quick a hard finish towards the end (not a mask you can apply and then call one of your bridesmaids for a chat whilst you are wearing it)!

My secret to revealing fresher, clearer, younger-looking skin

Anyone who has been lucky enough to visit a salon for a micro-dermabrasion treatment, will tell you how amazingly smooth and radiant their skin feels after!

This is a treatment that most skin types can benefit from (apart from extremely sensitive skin) – micro crystals sweep away dull/ dead skin cells (on a deeper level than a daily exfoliator can). Oily skins love this treatment as it clears blocked pores and reveals a clearer, fresher skin and it is great for speeding up the healing process of any acne scarring. For ageing skins the results are equally satisfying as the youthful glow the skin is left with is beautiful.

Since having a treatment myself a few years ago and seeing the results, I have been a huge fan of micro-dermabrasion.
