MADARA decocare – highlight your natural beauty

Sunday, March 7th, 2010

MADARA is an entirely natural and organic range of cosmetics that is certified according to the international ECOCERT standard. Its ingredients include biologically certified flower and herb extracts from the Baltic region, as well as other natural substances. MADARA packaging is environment friendly and can be recycled. They only use ecological cleaning agents in the production of our products; they do not carry out experiments on animals and use energy efficient production equipment.

MADARA comes from Latvia, a small country in Northern Europe, in the Baltic region, which has managed to preserve many unblemished and wild places, as well as a diversity of flowers and grasses. Northern summers are much shorter and harsher and therefore plants are forced to concentrate all of their energy on the short blossoming period to attract bees and continue their living process during the next summer. As a result, at the moment of their collection, the blossoms and herbs, which have grown in these latitudes, are especially rich with active substances and extracts that are used in the production of MADARA cosmetics. They are powerful and effective.

There are four ranges of MADARA products:

ecoface - a 3-step guide to deeper beauty, which is prepared from the same ingredients with which flowers cleanse their faces and beautify themselves (cleanse, tone, moisturise)

ecolips - which consists of a day and night lip balm

ecobody – this range covers several areas of body care – cleanse. moisturise, shape, anti-cellulite and stretch marks

decocare – in this range is flower dust, which is a shimmering body lotion and the 2 products which I have tried myself which are:

The Tinting Fluid – RRP £21.50

This tinting fluid comes in 2 shades, moon flower which is the lighter shade and sun flower, which leaves the skin with a radiant look of a summer tan. This product is not as thick as a foundation – it is more along the lines of a dewy, radiant tinted moisturiser that gives the skin a healthy glow. If you like a thick coverage with your makeup base then this product will be too thin for you – however, if you want to let your skin ‘breathe’ and just wear a light base to give your skin a break from heavier foundation in the run up to your wedding day, then this is perfect for you. The product will lightly even out your skin tone and disguise imperfections and fine lines. It gives such a pretty glow to the skin – and because the ingredients are so good for the skin, this is a perfect ‘first foundation’ for a teenager or for a younger bridesmaid on a wedding day who wants to wear a little makeup, without looking heavy.

The next product (which compliments the tinting fluid for a natural look) is the Tinting lipgloss – RRP £10

This also comes in 2 shades – moonkissed and sunkissed. These, to me are like a balm with a hint of gloss and are incredibly caring and soothing for the delicate lip area. The product contains Baltic rose hip and the colour and shimmer are obtained from natural plant minerals and mica.

These products (especially the darker shades) are perfect for your honeymoon – no-one likes to wear heavy makeup with a tan in the heat, but these would look fabulous  in the evening, for a subtle shimmer to your skin. Use the tinting fluid along with the tinting lipgloss and a touch of black mascara and you’ll look gorgeous!
